SHILLONG: The body of a 43-year-old woman was recovered from a water body on Sunday at Nongkrem after three weeks of being reportedly missing.
A traditional leader told this reporter that the woman, Mary Warbah, had gone missing since early June, adding that the police were also informed.
“Probably, due to heavy rain, she was washed away. We found her at around 12 noon. We had also searched for her but discontinued due to heavy rain,” the traditional head said.
