GUWAHATI: Assam Health Department has achieved COVID-19 testing figure of 4,12,214 on Tuesday thereby boosting the state’s efforts to flatten the COVID-19 curve by tracing all those who may be potentially infected.
“Our aggressive & targeted testing is designed to flatten the curve by tracing all those who may be potentially infected. Continuing Herculean efforts, Health Dept Teams reached testing figures of 412,214 today. Your cooperation has been vital as we strive for,” tweeted the Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Meanwhile, 314 more COVID-19 patients were discharged from various covid care hospitals in Assam thereby taking the state’s recovery rate to 72%, according to the state Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
A 250-bed COVID19 Hospital at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Mirza, Palashabri began operations from Tuesday in Assam. The Health Minister visited the hospital and promised all help to doctors and staff by Government. This facility will boosts state’s pandemic management infrastructure.
