SHILLONG: In a peculiar series of incidents in Mustoh village falling under Shella Constituency, several residents have fallen ill starting Friday last. They have been admitted to Sohra CHC, Ichamati CHC and Laitkynsew PHC.
The patients have complained of loose motion.
When contacted, an official informed that the reason behind the sudden illness may be the drinking water. The water sample has been sent for testing.
Asked, he said that he does not have the exact number of people hospitalised as there are also some who have gone to Shillong for treatment. “Some of the patients are doing well now. Some are even being discharged,” he added.
