GUWAHATI: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has directed the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills (EKH) district to take necessary action against those from Shillong who had gone to attend a marriage at Greenwood Resort at Khanapara in Guwahati in violation of COVID protocols in force.

“In regards to the Greenwood incident, I have directed the DC of EKH to take necessary action against the violators as per the relevant provisions of the IPC, Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, #COVID__19 Regulations, 2020 & the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897,” tweeted Conrad Sangma
