Active COVID-19 cases in Meghalaya go up to 289

SHILLONG: With detection of new cases, the number of active COVID-19 positive cases in Meghalaya has gone up to 289 including 205 cases among BSF personnel and 84 non-BSF cases. So far, 46 patients have recovered while two persons have died in the state, according to a tweet by the Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma.

Out of the active cases, 255 are from East Khasi Hills district. These include 198 cases among BSF personnel, four among armed forces personnel and 53 others.

Ri-Bhoi district has so far reported 19 COVID-19 positive cases, East Jaintia Hills reports two cases, West Garo Hills reports nine cases, South Garo Hills reports two cases, East Garo Hills reports one case and North Garo Hills reports one case.
