SHILLONG: The Additional Deputy Commissioner in-charge of Pynursla Civil Sub-Division has put a ban on hunting, poaching or any acts of wanton destruction of flora and fauna in the civil sub-division.
The move comes in the wake of a recent case, in which people of Mawpyrthuh village allegedly poached a Himalayan black bear, and reports of unrelenting destruction, hunting and poaching of wild flora and fauna, especially indigenous to the areas, being willfully carried out by miscreants in remote and interior areas under the sub-division.
