2 more die of COVID-19 in Assam, toll up to 66

GUWAHATI: With two more deaths reported on Wednesday, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Assam has gone up to 66.

The deceased were identified as Alok Ghosh (54, Jorhat) and Haren Boron (47 Kamrup Metro)

Meanwhile, 1317 COVID-19 patients were discharged today, one of the rare days when recovered number is higher than new cases. Our recovery rate continues to give us hope.  The number of active patients in the state now is 8325.

“Two more patients Alok Ghosh (54, Jorhat) and Haren Boron (47, Kamrup Metro), lost the battle against #COVID19 today taking total death count in Assam to 66,” tweeted the Health Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma
