Mawlai traffic branch shut

SHILLONG: Police, on Tuesday, informed that the Mawlai Traffic Branch has been temporarily closed after a police official of the branch came into close contact with a COVID-19 patient.
The staff of the traffic branch are currently under medical observation and the branch is being disinfected and sanitised as per protocols, a statement issued here said.
The branch will resume functioning after being declared fit for re-occupation as per the laid down protocols, the statement added.
The public have been asked to approach Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch for assistance in traffic related issues, it said.
