SHILLONG: The headman of Tlongpleng, Kingborman Disiar, on Friday alleged that the sanitisation drive conducted by Donboklang Kharlyngdoh is unauthorised and it was done without the knowledge of the village.
Speaking to the press here on Friday, the headman said that Kharlyngdoh’s claim of being a Myntri of Mawpait Tlongpleng is illegal. On the other hand, the former headman of Tlongpleng, Arman Roy Rangdkhew, recalled that Tlongpleng was a village that enjoyed peace and harmony but bickering cropped up when Kharlyngdoh surfaced. He was surreptitiously appointed Myntri by Syiem of Hima Maharam Niandro Syiemiong.
