NEC celebrates Independence Day

SHILLONG: The 74th Independence Day was celebrated at the North Eastern Council, Shillong with gaiety and fervour on Saturday.
The tricolour was unfurled and hoisted by Member of the NEC Prof. Biman Kr Dutta at the NEC’s premises which was followed by the National Anthem, a statement said.
Thereafter Dutta, Air Marshal Anjan Kumar Gogoi (Retd.), Members of NEC and K Moses Chalai, Secretary , NEC briefly addressed the gathering while congratulating the staff. All the senior officials and the staff members took part in the function while factoring in precautions related to COVID-19 scenario.
