SHILLONG: The Federation of Khasi, Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) Mawprem Circle has sought clarification from the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills whether Lower Mawprem is a containment zone saying residents of the locality are facing harassment.
In a statement issued here, the organisation said that as per the DC’s order, Upper Mawprem, Jhalupara and Mawbah are containment zones. It said that Lower Mawprem is not a containment zone, nevertheless, people are facing harassment.
