Banks exempted

SHILLONG: After ordering the closure of all shops and business units in Police Bazar and Motphran, the East Khasi Hills District Administration has now exempted banks from the purview of its order.
All banks in Motphran area till Bimola Point, Motphran area to Stand Jeep area and MUDA Parking Lot (Upper Level) at Garikhana — State Bank of India Iewduh Branch, Meghalaya Rural Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, South Indian Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank — have been exempted.
Bank of India, Bandhan Bank, Corporation Bank and Syndicate Bank in Police Bazaar and GS Road are also exempted, besides Allahbad Bank, Jeep Stand and Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank, Jeep Stand.
