Meghalaya COVID update: 55 new cases detected ; number of active cases 966

SHILLONG: With detection of 55 new cases and recovery of 14 more patients, the number of active COVID19 cases in Meghalaya has increased to 966 as per the latest bulletin issued by the Meghalaya Health Department.

Out of the active cases 602 have been reported by East Khasi Hills alone (BSF 108, others 375 and armed forces 119). West Garo Hills district has reported 221 cases, Ri Bhoi district has reported 92 cases, West Khasi Hills has reported 18 cases and North Garo Hills has reported 10 cases.

Out of the newly-detected cases 31 are in East Khasi Hills,17 in West Khasi Hills district.

So far 744 patients have recovered in Meghalaya while six persons have succumbed to the virus infection.
