MLA-headed panels to oversee COVID management

GUWAHATI: Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma today held a meeting with the MLAs from East Khasi Hills district to work out a strategy to fight the COVID19 pandemic in the high incidence district involving the elected people’s representatives.

The meeting decided to constitute committees headed by local MLAs within their respective constituencies for coordination with COVID management committees in their respective constituencies to add more teeth to the COVID management process.

“Meeting held with MLAs of East Khasi Hills district today. Committees headed by MLAs will be formed for coordination with #COVID Management Committees within the constituencies. This will ensure proper coordination amongst everyone involved in the #Covid_19 Management process,” tweeted the CM, Conrad Sangma.
