15-year-old boy killed in road mishap in Shillong

SHILLONG: A 15-year-old boy was killed in a road mishap in the city on Wednesday. Police said that the mishap took place near Dhankheti opposite Reserve Bank of India .

According to the police ,the victim has been identified as Kiran Sinha ,a resident of Jylli Shop, Nongthymmai. Sinha died on the spot due to a head injury.

The police also informed that the victim was not wearing a helmet while riding a scooty that had collided with a 407 mini-truck around 7 am  and  the police received the information at 7: 10 am.

The mini-truck driver managed to flee leaving his vehicle behind. The police  seized the truck and further investigation is being carried out.
