Containment order lifted from city localities

SHILLONG: In a major relief to many, the East Khasi Hills District Administration has decided to remove various houses from the purview of containment order.
In an order on Friday, the East Khasi Hills District Administration has lifted the containment zone tag from the shops that are located in the building of BM Kurbah.
“However, the Nepali Compound, Rilbong, from the house of Roma Devkota, Mira Store up to the house of Sushma Talukdar and further down up to the river Umjasai and Mantra Building opposite to the Puja Mandap are still retained as containment areas,” the government order stated.
In another order, the District Administration has the removed the containment zone tag from the house of Hrishikesh Chakraborty, Burnside Compound, near Sankardev Girls’ Hostel, Rilbong.
The District Administration has also removed the house of Nud Syiemiong, Pynthorbah Block-II, from the purview of containment order.
In another order, the District Administration has also lifted the containment zone tag from the houses of Maya Kaur and Janki Kaur in Plot-1 Block A at Mawlonghat. “However, the house of Baldeep Singh in Plot-1 Block A at Mawlonghat is still retained as a containment area,” the order said.

Meanwhile, in a separate order, the District Administration has declared the house of Pinki Sharma till the house of Amit Sharma, Upper Maxwelton Estate, house of Nashibi Rai till the house of Dharmindar Rai, Lower Maxwelton Estate, and the building of Dr. Lumlang Jyrwa, Oxford Hill, as containment areas.
