Village council clears air on COVID death

SHILLONG: The general secretary of Jhalupara Village Council, in a statement, has clarified that the 60-year-old patient, Sunil Kumar Jha, who died of COVID-19 in the state recently, is not a resident of Jhalupara but Mawbah. In addition, the patient’s name is Sunil Kumar Jain and not Sunil Kumar “Jha” as reported earlier, the general secretary said.
