New Delhi: In a surprising development, China on Monday claimed that the “so called” Arunachal Pradesh is part of South Tibet and it has nothing to do with the reported “disappearance” of five Indians from this area as claimed by India. “China has never recognised so called “Arunachal Pradesh,” which is China’s south Tibet region, and we have no details to release yet about questions on Indian army sending a message to PLA about five missing Indians,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said.
Union Minister, Kiren Rijiju, had informed that the Indian Army has sent a hotline message to its counterpart in PLA which allegedly abducted five Arunachali youths on Friday.
Official Chinese newspaper Global Times also alleged that Indian soldiers have fired warning shots and intruded into Chinese territory. China took appropriate action, it claimed.
