SHILLONG: The state Cabinet has appointed PS Thangkhiew as Chairman of the Meghalaya State Food Commission.
Members of the Commission include Dr Greenaline A Marak and advocate Ravi Gurung. The Cabinet also approved the amendment to Rule 45 and 78 C of the Meghalaya Factories Rule, 1980, to include the ‘Model Factories Rules’ regarding the provision of sanitary napkins for women workers and personal protective equipment under Factories Act, 1948. Cabinet also approved the appointment of PSR Kharkongor as Chief Technical Adviser (Generation) in the Power department.
