Dohling lays base for water supply project

SHILLONG: Urban Affairs Minister Hamlet Dohling laid the foundation stone for additional water supply project for Greater Laban area, here on Saturday. The project, worth Rs 4.04 crore, was sanctioned under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dohling said that the implementation of the project would start immediately without delays while also stressing on the need to complete it at the earliest.
He lauded the initiatives of local MLA Sanbor Shullai as well as the Rangbah Shnong (headmen) in the fight against COVID-19.
Shullai said that the project would cover around 5,000 households in the area and also address the problem of water shortage.
