Call to release dues of COVID vounteers

TURA: The A’chik Youth Council (AYC) from Williamnagar in East Garo Hills has petitioned the Home Guard department to release at the earliest the dues of the COVID-19 volunteer workers under the department.
Stating that the pending dues from March till June have not been released, the council demanded of the department to release the dues within 10 days from the receipt of the appeal.
Earlier, the council, along with the affected volunteers, had also met Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Tembe and sought his intervention into the matter.
