Meghalaya Police sound alarm over natural calamity

GUWAHATI: In the wake of incessant rain-triggered flash flood and landslides creating havoc in Meghalaya where at least seven persons died on Friday because of the calamity, Meghalaya Police have sounded alarm.

Meghalaya Police took to its twitter handle to call upon the people in the state not to step out of the safety of their homes unless there is urgency and stay away from water bodies and water logged areas.

People have been asked to reach out to the local administration in case of emergency.
