State moots alternative land for Nagaland govt

SHILLONG: The state government has mooted an alternative plot of land for Nagaland as a replacement for the current land allotted to the latter.
The land, earmarked by the state Urban Affairs department, is located about half a kilometre away from the present land allotted to the Nagaland government on the main road opposite North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homeopathy (NEIAH) hospital.
A letter to the Principal Secretary, Home department, General Administration Branch II, Nagaland, mentioned that if Nagaland government agrees to this new proposal, a fresh lease agreement will have to be executed, which will be valid for a period of five years from the date of signing of the agreement. ) The state government has even agreed to bear the expenditure and has assured to undertake the construction of boundary wall on the new plot of land with the same specifications on the old plot of land as already taken up by the Nagaland government.
