TURA: A month-long programme to celebrate the National Nutrition Month 2020, which was organised by the department of Food Science and Nutrition, College of Community Science (CAU) Sangsanggre, Tura, drew to a close on Thursday.
The valedictory programme was graced by the West Garo hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh. The programme was also attended by ICDS functionaries, CDPOs, lady supervisors and Anganwadi workers from different parts of Garo Hills.
During the programme, ICE materials were also distributed to the Anganwadi workers virtually.
Inter-school cartooning competition was also held for students on the topic ‘He who Indulges, Bulges’, where Juniah M Sangma of Tura Public School bagged the first prize and Sandy Leitanthem and Sanskrita Karmakar from Sherwood School secured the second and third prizes respectively.
