Course on 3D printing technology gets under way

SHILLONG: A one-week online international short-term course on ‘Recent advances of 3D printing and its Biomedical Engineering Applications’ got under way on Monday with the programme receiving responses from more than 300 participants from national and global level.
The programme, which will conclude on October 16, has been organised by the Royal Global University, Guwahati, in collaboration with the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) and National Cheng Kung University Hospital (NCKUH), Taiwan.
“This interactive course will provide information and resources to the participants in the upcoming field of 3D Printing technology which has widespread applications in a variety of disciplines in academia and industry. The field has immense potential in medical and allied areas such as dentistry, rehabilitation, artificial body organs, aerospace, consumer products, defence, automobiles etc,” a statement on Tuesday said.
