New BSF IG wants stakeholders’ cooperation on border management

SHILLONG: BSF officer Hardeep Singh who, on Wednesday, assumed charged, succeeding Kuldeep Saini as the Inspector General of the Border Security Force, Meghalaya frontier, has emphasised on the cooperation from stakeholders for an effective border management in the state.
A statement on Wednesday said that Singh has also advocated the need to maintain cordial relations with the border populace.
Singh also said his first priority as IG will always be to create a sense of security among the border population in the state.
It may be mentioned that Singh, a 1986-batch BSF cadre officer, has been posted to Meghalaya Frontier from Jammu Frontier on promotion.
