Guv takes part in Sir Syed Day celebrations

SHILLONG: Governor Satya Pal Malik on Saturday virtually took part in the Sir Syed Day Celebrations 2020 of Aligarh Muslim University as the chief guest.
Sir Syed Day Celebration is observed every year on October 17 to mark the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, who was the founder of Aligarh Muslim University and a noted educationist and reformist
The Governor, during the programme, conferred the Sir Syed International Excellence Award to Professor Gail Minault of Austin, Texas and the national award under the same category to Anjuman-i-Islam, Mumbai.
