COVID pandemic dampens puja spirit this year

SHILLONG: An artist giving the finishing touches to idol of Goddess Durga at a Kumartuli in the city on Monday.

The COVID pandemic has dampened the spirit in the run up to annual Durga Puja this year as the celebration will be a very low-key affair without associated pomp and grandeur because of restrictions imposed.
