Local group donates essentials to orphanage

MAWKYRWAT: The United Hynniewtrep Movement (UHM) Mawkyrwat Circle, on Monday, celebrated its maiden anniversary with the children of Faith Child Care Mission (FCCM) at Pyndenspar in Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills, by donating essential commodities to the orphans.
Speaking on the occasion, Charlie J Rani, president of the UHM Central Body, congratulated the UHM Mawkyrwat unit for completing one year, and celebrating the day with orphans.
Rani also lauded the founders of the FCCM, led by Wansharai Nongsiej, for the initiative to look after the children in the orphanage, which was founded in 2019.
Rani informed that there were plenty of requests from the orphanage to help them tide over the pandemic situation, and urged the government authorities to lend a helping hand.
