NONGPOH: The Ri Bhoi District Magistrate has indefinitely prohibited the plying of any vehicle weighing over 70 R on the Dwar Ksuid Umroi Bridge, Shillong Bypass.
According to a statement, the directive comes in the wake of reports of overloaded commercial vehicles plying on the Dwar Ksuid Umroi Bridge regularly, thereby jeopardising the lives of general public.
