NONGPOH: The HYC has expressed discontentment over the service termination of five locals allegedly without any prior notice, who worked as security personnel at the College of Post Graduate Studies in Agricultural Science of the Central Agricultural University, Umiam.
The organisation leaders also met the varsity Dean, Professor JK Chauhan, seeking reasons behind the move to sack the youths who have been rendering services for the past decade.
The youths who were terminated include Bettiful Lyngdoh, Iaishanlang Kharsahnoh, M Makdoh, Idalin Rani and R Makri.
The Dean informed the HYC leaders that the five persons were removed from their jobs due to financial constraints but they rejected his justification demanding their reinstatement at the earliest.
The Dean promised the organisation leaders to reinstate the five youths once the financial situation of the varsity is sound again.
The HYC had, at the same time, said that the university should not hire anybody else during the time period.
