TURA, Nov 12: Just a day after an altercation between Gambegre MLA, Saleng Sangma, and his counterpart from Rangsakona, Zenith Sangma, took place in the Assembly, the latter’s son on Thursday expressed displeasure over the incident.
In a statement, Zenith’s son, Changkam Sangma, termed the incident as unfortunate, disturbing, unexpected and personal to himself.
“I am deeply hurt to see someone, who I have always respected, use swear words in the House against my father without any provocation. By now, I have been used to all kinds of criticisms against my father and I know it is normal in politics. But whatever the MLA from Gambegre, Mr Saleng Sangma, did is very unacceptable and very personal to me,” Changkam said.
