TURA, Nov 18: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) on Wednesday held a meeting where various issues faced by the border-dwellers on both sides as well as cross-border crimes such as smuggling, infiltration, et al, were discussed.
The sector commander-level meeting was held at BOP Kilapara in Dalu of West Garo Hills.
The BSF delegation comprising DIG of Sector HQ Tura, Soorya Kant Sharma, Commandant (OPS), Jayant Kumar Singh and 13 other officials had attended the meeting.
The meeting ended on a positive note with both sides agreeing to maintain amiable relations so that people living on the border areas of both the countries can live peacefully and safely.
The two forces had recently agreed to join hands in a bid to avert trans-border crimes along the Indo-Bangla border and also pursue all pending developmental works during a Nodal Officer-level meeting held at Tamabil, Bangladesh.
