MLP gets 83 new personnel

SHILLONG, Nov 18: Eighty-three new recruits on Wednesday were inducted into the Meghalaya Police after an attestation parade held at 1st MLP Bn., Armed Police Training Center, Mawiong.
“A total of 83 personnel were inducted today, after undergoing a rigorous basic training module, which included training on maintenance of Law & Order, Counter Insurgency Operations, and various other indoor/outdoor subjects,” a statement said on Wednesday.
According to the statement, Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui, who attended the programme as the chief guest, reviewed the parade.
Meghalaya DGP R Chandrananthan was also present.
