St Edmunds’ College wins Red Ribbon Quiz

SHILLONG, Nov 19: As many as 22 colleges in the state participated in the ‘Red Ribbon Quiz Competition 2020’, which is part of the National Aids Control Organisation’s (NACO) national campaign, organised by the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society from November 10 to 18.
St. Edmund’s College, Shillong, clinched the competition followed by Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, in second place and Don Bosco College, Tura, and Sohra Government College, Sohra, taking joint third place.
The competition was held in three zones — Zone A (Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi districts), Zone B (Jaintia Hills districts) and Zone C (Garo Hills districts) — culminating to the state-level quiz or the finale which was held on November 18 at Doordardhan Kendra, Shillong. The programme was organised in collaboration with Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat, for Zone B, along with Don Bosco College, Tura, for Zone C, and Doordarshan Kendra, Shillong.
