‘GHADC term extension led to corruption’

SHILLONG, Nov 25: NCP MLA, Saleng Sangma has blamed the extension of the GHADC term for one-and-half year by the previous Congress Government as the root cause of corruption in the council.
Saleng maintained that once the term of the then EC was extended, the sitting MDCs made random appointments in the council, did no work for the people and only made money to fuel their political ambitions.
