Enrolment drive
An Aadhaar enrolment drive for beneficiaries under NFSA, 2013 (PHH and AAY card holders) will be conducted from November 30 to December 5 at Jail Road Boys Higher Secondary School, Jail Road and Community Hall, Jaiaw Langsning for Jail Road and Jaiaw Langsning areas respectively. This was informed by the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner (Supply) in a statement on Friday. Meanwhile, the DC has directed all fair price shop dealers from the aforesaid areas to assist their beneficiaries for Aadhaar enrolment at the centres, which will be held between 10 am and 5 pm.
Illicit liquor
The office of the EKH Deputy Commissioner (Excise) has informed that during October, the excise staff made a seizure of 270.380 litre of illicitly distilled (ID) liquor and 221.240 litre of IMFL.
