Ban on plying of overloaded trucks on WJH road

JOWAI, Dec 6: The District Magistrate of West Jainta Hills, in an order, has prohibited plying of heavily loaded trucks carrying more than 9 metric tonne of weight along Mukhla Shohshrieh-Myrjai to Mupliang road (9.966 km), which is under construction.
The order has been issued after learning that the ongoing PMGSY Project is under progress and due to the increasing numbers of heavy vehicles plying on the road it has made execution of work a difficult task.
It is learnt that heavily loaded trucks and dumpers transporting stone boulders from Myrjai Village to Bangladesh are plying through the road carrying 20-40 tonnes which is beyond the permissible limit and has also damaged the road pavement, the order stated.
