IMA M’laya extends support to nationwide protest

SHILLONG, Dec 7: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Meghalaya Chapter has extended its support to the protest called by its central body and has decided wear black badges on Tuesday.
The IMA — which represents doctors practising modern system of medicine in the country – had recently announced a series of nationwide protests and other steps to oppose Centre’s actions and policies in the field of health and medical education.
“The IMA Meghalaya Chapter offers their support to its central body. All IMA members from Meghalaya and all doctors from modern medicine who is in support of the stand of IMA central body shall wear black badges on the 8th of December 2020 in support of IMA,” a statement said on Monday.
