MLA announces road construction in WKH

NONGSTOIN, Dec 16: Nongstoin MLA, Macmillan Byrsat, on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of Urkali-Tiehbah-Mawlangniang Road. During the foundation stone-laying ceremony, he also announced the upgrade of Urkali-Tiehbah Road.
The programme was attended by Superintendent Engineer of PWD, Western Circle, M Dhar, Executive Engineer PWD, Nongstoin Division, AB Umdor, assistant engineers, PWD staff and locals from 12 villages under Mawlangniang area.
Dhar, during the programme, informed that Rs 2,46,89,500 has been sanctioned for the blacktopping of the road while for the construction of the road, Rs 2,37,12,000 has been sanctioned.
Byrsat, on the other hand, acknowledged the PWD for its intervention into the project and facilitating it.
