SHILLONG, Dec 17: The BJP Kishan Morcha Meghalaya (farmers’ wing) organised a meeting with the farmers from the plains of Garo Hills and extended support to the Centre’s farm laws.
During the meeting, which was held at Chibinang under Phulbari, president of farmer’s wing, Promodh Koch, accused the Opposition of misleading farmers on the bills and conspiring to instigate unrest.
“Nation will never forgive Congress and other opposition parties for befooling and misleading our farmers. Opposition parties are misleading our farmers but the fact is that agriculture sector reforms laws are in best interests of our farmers,” a statement from the farmer’s wing of the saffron party said on Thursday.
