NONGSTOIN, Dec 20: The body of Disharbor Lyngdoh Nonglait (36), resident of Sohiong, East Khasi Hills, who went missing since December 18, was found by the police along with his relatives at Porlamkohlait under Pyndenglawar in Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills on Sunday morning.
During inquiry, it was learnt that the deceased along with a group of people were travelling in a bus when they stopped at Pyndenglawar village for some time. But when they resumed the journey, Nonglait was unintentionally left behind.
When the bus had reached Mawnai village, the occupants realised that the man was missing.
Some from the lot returned to Nongstoin along with the family members of Nonglait to search for him.
However, they could not locate him on that particular night.
They attempted a search again the next morning (December 19) but to no avail.
They subsequently reported the matter to Nongstoin Police Station.
Following legal formalities, the police handed over the body of Nonglait to the family members.
