SHILLONG, Dec 22: The Bailey bridge, which is under constructed on Shillong Bypass, is likely to be ready by early January.
Informing this, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that the Border Roads Organisation is working round the clock to ensure that the bridge comes up at the earliest.
The communication along the Bypass has been adversely affected after Dwar-Ksuid developed cracks. Since then, heavily-loaded vehicles have been directed to ply through the heart of the city during night hours.
