TURA, Dec 30: An eight-year-old girl from Tikrikilla region of Garo Hills held the judges spellbound with her dazzling performance in the grand finale of Assam’s Got Talent Season 5. She won the second runners-up during the competition.
Begum Alisha Islam, a class III student of St. Mary’s Public School in Tikrikilla, West Garo Hills, gave a scintillating performance that got the judges rise to their feet.
“We are extremely proud of our daughter. She has had an interest in singing and dancing from a very young age and we encouraged her, which led to her being able to participate in larger events like the state-level competitions in the field of singing and dancing,” an elated father of Alisha said.
For her success, Alisha was awarded a cheque worth Rs 5,000, a trophy and a 25 per cent free scholarship from record label and producer T-Series.
