SHILLONG, Jan 2: The Sub Divisional Magistrate of Sohra Sub Division has declared the entire stretch of the Dainthlen River (from Kjat Lum Mawkyrdup up to Dainthlen Falls) as a no-picnic zone.
According to a statement, the directive comes in the wake of “unregulated picnic activities and the inflow of revellers along the riverside” and to prevent pollution in the river.
