Fish killing banned in SWKH

MAWKYRWAT, Jan 5: The District Magistrate of South West Khasi Hills has prohibited killing of fish and other aquatic life in all rivers and streams in the district besides use of poisonous chemicals, net, bomb, etc, for the activity.
Local authorities have been urged to remain alert and inform the authorities if anyone is found violating the order.
