BSF’s free health camp benefits border-dwellers in WGH

TURA, Jan 7: Over 350 locals in West Garo Hills benefitted from a free medical camp on Thursday which was organised by the 75 Bn BSF under its civic action programme at Baburambill football ground.
The BSF had also, in the past, organised such public outreach programmes to provide assistance to the border-dwellers from Baburambill, Jatrakona, Dimapara, Chiringpara and Govindpara villages.
During the free health camp, over 350 villagers, including children, women and elderly, were examined as well as provided medical aid.
The BSF medical officers led by Dr SK Verma, CMO (SG) SHQ BSF Tura and Dr F Momin of Dalu PHC, provided free check-ups as well as distributed medicines.
Apart from medicines, free sanitisers, masks and hand gloves were distributed among the locals.
