EGH fighters shine in out of state martial arts tourney

TURA, Jan 13: Two fighters from East Garo Hills have done the district and the Garo Hills region in general proud by winning Gold medals in an out of state martial arts competition. Rapse N Sangma and Indoarbuisbirt N Marak were part of a team from the district that participated in the All Assam Pencak Silat Martial Arts Championships, 2021. Both fighters managed to bag Gold medals in the tournament. Meanwhile, East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe has felicitated both the fighters and offered his congratulations. “Congratulations to both Rapse and Indoarbuisbirt for winning the Gold medals. We are proud of you and will take steps to help your talent grow further,” Tembe posted in his official Facebook page.
