TURA, Jan 15: Miscreants have broken into the Masangpani Baptist Church in Phulbari and taken away musical equipment and money kept in a donation box, on the night of Thursday.
According to information available, the door of the church was found damaged by the church elders in the morning and an inspection inside revealed that the thieves had decamped with a music amplifier and its two microphones as well as a donation box that contained money.
The donation box was later found empty and abandoned outside the church. The church has put the total value of the burglary at around fifty thousand rupees.
