No respite from winter until Feb

SHILLONG, Jan 16: With state capital and several other parts of Meghalaya continuing to witness a bone-chilling weather, an official at the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), Shillong, has said that the state will continue to experience winter till January.
It may be mentioned that the temperature in Shillong has been hovering between 4-5 degrees for some days.
The official has said that with the arrival of February, the temperature would see a slight increase.
It was also informed by the official that the there would be flexibility in the cycle and the temperature would keep on oscillating by few degrees on a regular basis.
